His first musical studies were on classical guitar and musical language, obtaining a degree in both specialties at the María Angélica Piola Conservatory in Uruguay at the age of 16.

He graduated from the Artigas Teachers Institute of Montevideo with a specialty in Music Education in 1987.

He studied piano, choral, and orchestral conducting at the University School of Music of Montevideo.

From 1983 to 2009, he worked as a Music Education Teacher, Choir Conductor, and Accompanying Pianist in Secondary Education.

In addition to the academic training mentioned above, he has also had significant self-taught training and has attended numerous advanced courses in Uruguay and abroad.

His intellectual production includes research work, CD recordings, choral arrangements, and original musical compositions.

With the Pro-Música de Treinta y Tres Choir, the Procantus Choral Association, and the Cantemus Choir, he conducted several international tours in North America and Europe between 1999 and 2008.

Since early 2010, he has been residing in Spain (Galicia), where he continues to dedicate himself exclusively to choral direction, music teaching, and musical composition.
